A car show at Morgantown Classic Auto Mall benefits Ukrainian refugees

Vehicles will fill the Classic Auto Mall in Morgantown for the Americans for Ukraine Classic Car Show & Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on September 10. Proceeds from the fair will benefit Ukrainian refugees.

“This show will be a once-in-a-lifetime event that will include many events including a classic car, truck and motorcycle show, a live band, concerts, dance performances, an American and Ukrainian bazaar as well as as well as admission to the Classic Auto Mall,” said show organizer Johnny Pappas.

The classic car show is open to all cars, trucks and motorcycles of all years, makes and models. Over 300 cars, trucks and motorcycles are expected to compete for three bespoke Best of Show trophies, Top 40 trophies and 20 specialty trophies.

“The Best Engine trophy is a real working engine that I built with intake and exhaust valves that open and close, rotating camshaft, pistons, fan and spark plugs. ignition that glow with LED lights in sequence,” Pappas said. “I guarantee this trophy will not sit on a shelf after it is won. The winner and their children or grandchildren will be playing with the trophy for years to come!”

The Best Interior trophy are real seats that Pappas made from leftover upholstery materials used to restore his ’57 Chevy. The Best Paint trophy is a real professional paint sprayer used for painting cars.

Other specialty trophies include Best Chevy, Ford, Mopar, Truck, Daily Driver, Import, Modern & Classic Corvette, and Promoters’ Pick. Car clubs from Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania will compete for the specialty trophies for longest running club and most club appearances. Exhibit vehicle registration is $20 and will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The entertainment portion of the show will feature acclaimed Elvis tribute artist Jeff Krick Jr. singing The American Elvis Trilogy and his favorite hits accompanied by the 65-member Twin Valley High School Marching Band who will provide also music to singers performing American and Ukrainian. national anthems. In addition, the Voloshky School of Ukrainian Dance will perform Ukrainian dances. Morgantown’s popular Dog’s Dinner Band will perform favorite retro music during the show.

A Ukrainian and American bazaar will sell unique arts and crafts as well as baked goods. There will also be dozens of gift baskets and gift certificates up for grabs, including a one-night jacuzzi suite at the historic Wayne Brook Inn, as well as a $50 gift certificate, a bottle of red wine with glasses and long way t-shirts. Home Grill & Pub of Honey Brook, Auto Zone and other auto buckets, a rare private collection of Elvis memorabilia, wall hangings, cupcakes, cookies, scones and brownies, spa products, products Norwex home care products, homemade Ukrainian honey and more.

Free make-up sessions by Dorothy Senior will be offered to children and adults. Ryan Tyler of Honey Brook State Farm Insurance will also be there to help with all of your insurance needs.

Sabatino’s Grille, Epicurean Garage and Pierogi Factory restaurants will sell pizzas, cheesesteaks, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, fries and sandwiches, pierogies and kielbasa, as well as desserts and drinks from Scrape & Scoop and It’s Koffee Time .

The Classic Auto Mall is located at 6180 Morgantown Road, Morgantown. The rain date for the show will be September 24.

Admission is free for spectators to the Auto Show, Bazaar, All Entertainment, and the Classic Auto Mall Museum, home to 400 original and unrestored classic cars, trucks, and motorcycles on display from the early 1900s through the 1900s. 1990 and over 600 consignment cars for sale from all over the world.
