Babawo launches free medical service in Zaria

No less than 7,000 people are expected to benefit from the five days of medical awareness organized by the member representing the federal constituency of Sabon Gari in Kaduna State, the Honorable Muhammad Garba Datti Babawo for the treatment of various ailments of the residents of the constituency by Sabon Gari and beyond.
The medical awareness is in collaboration with a non-governmental organization, “Doctors On The Move” and the National Eye Center Kaduna.

Speaking at the launch of the free medical outreach at Asibitin Kantoma GRA Zaria, the senior consultant overseeing the medical outreach program, Dr Haruna Kigo explained that over the next five days of the program, his team will be making the medical outreach free OPD drugs, general / gynecological operations, cataract operations, ultrasounds, laboratory tests and reading glasses free of charge to over 7,000 people.

He urged patients and their loved ones to strictly adhere to the Covid-19 protocol when presenting for medical care.
He also thanked the program facilitator, Hon Muhammadu Datti Babawo for making the free medical program a reality.
, and urged other lawmakers across the country to emulate this noble gesture, especially now that doctors are on strike.

In his speech, Hon. Datti Babawo said this was the 5th edition of the free medical awareness and more than 40,000 people have benefited from the program since its inception.
