Take a look at TalkTalk’s business plans ( With basic broadband, Ethernet, and all kinds of calling plans available, you’re bound to find something to suit your business, whether it’s a restaurant chain, call center, or of an office. Here is the truth about what TalkTalk has to offer.

the Internet

TalkTalk’s basic broadband connections are ideal for small businesses or those that need the internet but don’t depend on it. Two packages are available, both of which can be connected by ADSL or optical fiber. On an ADSL line, you’ll get download speeds of up to 17MB and download speeds of up to 1MB – much like a TalkTalk home broadband agreement. With a fiber line, download speeds are up to 76MB and download speeds up to 20MB. Both also include the rental of a phone line.

  • Simply – Includes paid calls and a static IP address on demand.
  • Complete – Includes unlimited calling, up to four static IP addresses, and many built-in features, such as office relocation and business calling features. It is therefore better for companies that are a little more greedy in telephones.

Both have completely unlimited downloads and no web traffic management, so you can browse, download, and host conference calls as much as you want without worrying about usage limits or slow connections. You will also benefit from WorkSafe Internet security, as well as the Talk2Go app to use your landline minutes through your smartphone.

If regular broadband isn’t enough and you need a more reliable connection, TalkTalk also offers Ethernet services. An Ethernet connection has much more consistent bandwidth and its upload and download speeds are the same. This makes it perfect for VoIP calls, cloud-based services, streaming, broadcasting – and the fast and reliable transfer of large amounts of data. This is basically a leased line style connection with no price tag.

Ethernets are all fiber optic and come in three different forms of TalkTalk Business:

  • Ethernet over FTTC connects you to the usual fiber optic network in your neighborhood via a street cabinet. It is essentially the same as a home broadband connection, but with more consistent and synchronous speeds, as you will have dedicated bandwidth allocated only to your workplace. The two speeds available go up to 10Mb or up to 20Mb. Ethernet over FTTC is a good choice for businesses in residential areas where the fiber network is already installed, such as stores, restaurants, home businesses, and small offices.
  • Ethernet in the first mile is a much higher capacity than FTTC broadband, but without quite the capacity (or price) of a full Ethernet connection. Speeds can go up to 10MB or up to 20MB. This is a good compromise for a business that needs greater reliability than FTTC, but cannot justify the switch to full Ethernet.
  • Ethernet connections are fully fiber-optic Ethernet, with speeds of up to 1 Gb. This is the best option if your business is to be consistently and reliably online 24/7 where the loss of the internet would mean everything would stop.

Do you have multiple business locations, all of which need to be connected and transfer a lot of data to each other? You can benefit from an MPLS IPVPN solution.

This means that TalkTalk will run a network for you, connecting all of your work sites, over multiple line types if needed, to a secure data center, allowing them to communicate and send large volumes of data to each other. It’s private and scalable, so the network can grow or shrink with your business. And since the network is adapted to each company and priced accordingly, the contracts are very flexible.

Voice and calling services

TalkTalk Business calling services include not only phone line rentals, but VoIP plans as well – and there’s plenty to choose from.

First, the basic packages telephone lines, designed for business use with options to add calls anytime, extra lines or included minutes. You can also add and remove channels on demand, which is great for flexibility, and especially for seasonal businesses where you need more phone lines at certain times of the year.

But if you are looking for something more complex than that, you can go for a business phone system, where TalkTalk partners with different telecommunications companies to create the best all-round solution for you. These are best suited for workplaces where several people need their own phones – hence, most offices.

For better call quality, a voice over ethernet the line is a good option. Because it works over Ethernet rather than traditional phone lines, it means easier handling of high call volumes on a single line. It also makes it easy to add and remove rows, not to mention reliability.

TalkTalk Business also offers inbound solutions, which will manage the security and reliability of calls to your business. This is ideal if your office is all about customer service, or even if you just get a lot of calls from customers and partners.

And of course you can take some company numbers that are easy to remember and jot down – memorable, in blocks, including non-geographic and revenue-sharing numbers.

Hosted Services

As if all that wasn’t enough, TalkTalk also offers hosted services, so you don’t have to manage all your data and telecommunications yourself. The services available are:

  • Hosted data centers, for data storage and protection
  • Hosted contact centers, to help route calls and manage communications across multiple locations
  • Hosted unified communications, to manage the full range of communications across multiple sites
