DISH acquires Boost Mobile and launches two new offers

DISH today announced that it has completed its acquisition of Boost Mobile in a $ 1.4 billion deal. With this agreement, DISH officially enters the wireless retail market, serving more than nine million customers.

“Today, we are proud to welcome hundreds of employees, thousands of independent retailers and millions of customers into the DISH family,” said Erik Carlson, President and CEO of DISH. “This marks an important milestone in DISH’s evolution as a connectivity company. This positions us well as we continue to develop America’s first virtualized and autonomous 5G network. ”

Boost Mobile will now offer two new wireless plans, the Boost $ hrink-It! Plan and a $ 35 10 GB plan.

  • Boost’s new $ hrink-It! The plan, which starts at $ 45 for 15 GB, cuts monthly customer rates by $ 5 after three on-time payments, and an additional $ 5 after six total on-time payments.
  • Boost will also offer a $ 35-10GB plan that includes unlimited calling and texting.

Customers can subscribe to either plan with their existing compatible device or with a new device from Boost.

“Boost is uniquely positioned to disrupt this industry. Our passionate team, from employees to retail associates to local business owners, are ready to compete, ”said John Swieringa. “We will bring exciting new products and offerings to customers that better meet their needs and budget. Starting tomorrow, Boost will launch the first of our new offers with the relaunch of $ hrink-It! – reward customers with “the longer you stay, the less you pay”. ”
