The great food, wines, products and service have once again proven the magical combination which has given Qatar Airways two business class and catering awards in the AirlineRatings.com 2021 Airline Excellence Awards as well as the best airline for 2021.
What makes Qatar Airways business class shine
Qatar Airways’ Qsuite Business Class is simply breathtaking: a spacious, private and well-designed business class showcase packed with features designed to make travel more productive and comfortable.
This is a full suite with a private sliding door and enough space to stretch out comfortably with your feet on the ottoman without having to worry about swapping things to make room.
The suite is dominated by a giant 21.5-inch high-definition touchscreen that’s both crisp and responsive.
A generous, secure storage compartment under the large padded armrest next to the seat holds headphones and water and has a small deck for storing smaller items such as glasses.
A full worktop is large enough to hold magazines, menus, spare pillows, and other items. Underneath is a lighted shelf for storing laptops and tablets.
Variable seat controls allow you to tilt or move the seat forward and backward and adjust lumbar support. There are four presets: Lay Flat, Fully Straight, Takeoff, and Tilt.
Device charging options include an illuminated USB port and power outlet. A second USB port and an HDMI connection are around the corner.

The airline has an on-demand ordering system, but the attentive and friendly cabin crew in Qatar regularly ask if anything is needed.
“Qsuite is a first class business class experience,” said Geoffrey Thomas, editor of AirlineRatings.com. “It leaves nothing to chance, and our judges ranked it among the best business class products they’ve seen.
“It sets a standard that some airlines can only aspire to.
Best airline catering for 2021 also goes to Qatar Airways
While not all of Qatar Airlines’ business class sections offer Qsuites, they all offer the premium food, presentation and service that helped Qatar win the award for best catering.
Eating is simply a matter of selecting what you want from the a la carte menu and ordering it when you want.
Catering in Qatar’s premium classes easily meets restaurant standards, raising the bar for service and food in economy, ”said Thomas. “The judges were impressed with the taste, freshness and presentation of the food. “
