(PRESS RELEASE) DALLAS, TX – Prevent Blindness Texas hosted the Tee Off to Prevent Blindness Golf Tournament at the Texas Star Golf Course in Dallas, TX last month. Golfers have come together on the greens to support the association’s mission to prevent blindness and preserve sight. PBT is committed to providing access, awareness and advocacy in the field of vision health. The funds raised will make it possible to provide services to nearly 700 people. PBT has been running the golf tournament for several years and is already planning to host the tournament on Friday, May 6, 2022.
John McMahn, PBT Board and Golf Committee member, said, “The players have enjoyed this course for several years and the tournament continues to grow. I think this event is a great way for businesses and individual players to show their support for the important work being done by Prevent Blindness Texas in the areas of eye care for the people of our state. “
The Tee Off to Prevent Blindness Golf Tournament is bolstered by generous sponsors who value the vision services PBT provides to Texans: EssilorLuxottica, Neurolens, Schneider, Eyefinity and Shenoy.
PBT events like the Golf Tournament help the organization provide vision screenings, educational programs in the community, and financial resources for treatment, including eyeglasses. Since 1965, PBT has been the state’s premier voluntary eye health and safety organization dedicated to preventing blindness and preserving sight.
